v0.4.0 — Share cards, public profiles, and a new way to add records

New

  • Batch-first add flow. Four separate entry points are now one unified Add surface. Point the camera at a barcode and it keeps scanning — confirm each match and move to the next without resetting. Format and tags carry over within a session; barcode data overrides them when it’s authoritative. Match confirmation shows duplicate warnings inline. A session tray lets you undo adds before you’re done.
  • Public profiles. An opt-in toggle in the app publishes your shelf to a public /u/<handle> URL. Shelves are private by default; nothing goes public without the toggle on.
  • Shelf compare. Open someone else’s public profile and you can compare collections — see what overlaps, what doesn’t. Shareable as a card.
  • “Now spinning” share card. A card showing your recent plays, shareable from within the app.
  • Context-aware album card. Single-album share cards now include a short Dexx note conditioned on your collection — what else you have from the artist, where it sits, that kind of thing.
  • Share-card rendering. Branded 1080×1350 and 9:16 cards throughout the app, with story-safe layout so title and wordmark aren’t clipped by Instagram’s UI.
  • AI collection personality. Generates a shareable characterization of your shelf.
  • Waitlist → invite queue. Signups now become queue entries reviewable and approvable in /administration.
  • Automated release announcement email. Subscribers receive a “What’s New” email on each release.

Improved

  • Dexx voice across existing surfaces. FAQ, transactional emails, and public-facing app copy have been updated for consistency. (The new Add surface and share cards were already written fresh.)
  • Cover scan on iPad. The identify endpoint was returning 400 errors from the new Add surface on iPad. Fixed.
  • Share cards on 9:16 (story format). Title and wordmark were being hidden by the Instagram story UI chrome. Layout now respects safe areas.
