What's New — v0.5.0
Cratewise now has a billing system. Subscriptions run $2/month or $20/year per household, processed through Paddle, with a 30-day trial that requires no card to start. International billing is available from launch. The household entitlement model means one subscription covers everyone in the same account.
The trial stays usable through the end — there’s a soft cap on AI identification near the limit, but the app doesn’t lock you out. Comped accounts (staff, testers) are handled through an explicit mechanism with an admin surface, not a hidden tier.
Public profiles, which shipped in v0.4.0, now require an active subscription. A lapsed or cancelled account unpublishes the profile.
On the legal and privacy side: Terms of Service and an updated privacy policy are live, GDPR-compliant account deletion is in place, self-serve data export now covers the full account rather than just collection and spins, and a subprocessor list is publicly available. Data retention was verified end-to-end across Sentry, Postgres, and R2 — two gaps were found and fixed rather than documented and filed away.
