What's New in v0.4.0
Two things worth pointing out specifically: the add flow now works as a proper batch session — continuous barcode scanning on a live viewfinder, a confirm-and-next loop, an undo-able session tray, and format/tag pre-fill that carries across the session so you’re not re-entering the same fields for your fourth copy of a 12”. Duplicate detection happens at the confirm card. The other is public profiles: households can now opt in to publish a read-only shelf at /u/<handle>. Off by default, stays off unless you turn it on.
Beyond those two: share cards shipped — four card types (album context, shelf overlap, recent plays, collection overview) rendered at 1080×1350 and 9:16 story-safe, with an AI-generated collection personality characterization if you want it. The marketing site was rebuilt from scratch. Waitlist entries now flow into an invite queue in administration rather than nowhere. Match-quality telemetry for album adds is running. An iPad cover-scan bug is fixed.
The loop the release was designed around — add records, generate shareable content, surface it to people who haven’t heard of Cratewise — is end-to-end as of this build.
